Facebook Increase User Privacy

facebookWith the increasing number of users who now have 350 million through the numbers, Facebook began to tighten the focus of the user's privacy. Starting Wednesday ((9/12/2009), all Facebook users will be prompted to re-apply the settings to make sure that whatever content is accessible to the public and can be seen only friendship networks.

"Facebook is changing the way people control the world's information online by encouraging them to sort out any content that will be shared to an audience different," said Elliot Schrage, vice president of communications, public policy, and marketing for Facebook, as reported by Telegraph.

Once done login, each user will be redirected to a Facebook feature that will guide the transition to review their privacy settings and re-apply the settings. New users will also be directed to learn the rules of this privacy controls after completion of registration process.

With this feature, users can determine who can view information on proil pages, comments, photos, and video. Would it be allowed to see friends only, friends of friends, or anyone free visits are not included in friendship networks. Especially for users who are under 18 years, the system will arrange for all of the information displayed can be seen only friends, friends of friends, friends at school, or friend of one organization only.
