- Run the Nero program via the Start menu> All Programs> Nero> Nero 9> Nero Express.
- Click File> Preferences.
- In the Preferences window, click the Expert Features tab.
- Select the checkbox "Enable all supported recorder formats for the Image Recorder", then click OK.
The next step is to create image file. Prepare a CD or DVD into the drive source if the purpose of creating this image file is to make copies of CDs / DVDs. Then practice this step:
- Change the default by clicking recorder Recorder> Choose Recorder.
- Select the Image Recorder, and then click OK.
- Click File> New.
- If you want to create a DVD image, click the combo box in the upper left side of the New Compilation window, then change them to DVD.
- Determine the type of image file you want to make the column under the combo box CD / DVD. There are several types of CD / DVD image you can make, such as CD / DVD-Video, CD / DVD-ROM UDF formats, and ISO. To create a new compilation, you can click the New button after determining types of CD / DVD image to be created.
- To create a DVD image, specify the size of the DVD image that will be made on the combo box located at the lower right window of Nero. Select
to make dual-layer DVD image or for single layer DVD. - Next, drag and drop files terminated by clicking Recorder> Burn Compilation to begin making image files.
- If you want to create image files from CD / DVD that is in the CD / DVD drive, select the option
when determining types of CD / DVD image, and select the drive where the CD / DVD you are in the Source Drive tab. The process of copying will be done after you click the Copy button. Keep in mind, making image files to CD / DVD Copy will not always succeed. Some DVDs are equipped with protection can not be copied in this way.
Later, CDs and DVDs that you have made the image file can be copied into the CD / DVD blank in the following way:
- Click Recorder> Choose Recorder.
- Select device CD or DVD writer you are.
- After that, open the image file via the File menu> Open.
- The process of burning will be done as soon as you click the Burn button.
