Optimizing Adobe Reader

Adobe Reader is already made some modifications so that updates the latest version able to open and navigate the document more hurried than the previous version. Even so, some users of this application rate is still slow, so better choose other similar applications.

Actually there are some simple tricks to optimize the performance of Adobe Reader. Here is a tricks.

1. Remove plug-ins that are not needed.

Before deleting, you should first check the description of each plug-in to avoid mistakes in the elimination. Do not until you remove the plug-in that its essential that the document does not open it at all. To do this, click "Help" in the application window, and select "About Adobe Plug-Ins ...". Information plug-in will immediately show its dependence on other plug-ins. Record if necessary.

Armed with this information you then get into the directory Adobe Reader. Find the folder named plug_ins. Remove all plug-ins that are not needed. For example, if your PC does not have an Internet connection, delete the plug-in such Updater and Sendmail. Previous make back-ups just in case.

2. Streamline the load start-up.

Click "Edit> Preferences ...", then select option "Startup". Uncheck the "Display splash screen" and "Show Messages and automatically update".

3. Lower Resolution.
Still in the Preferences window, click the option "Page Display". Lower resolution value option by clicking the Custom Resolution. Give a lower value than the default value.

4. Hide all toolbars by clicking the "F8" or click the menu "View> Toolbars", and "Hide Toolbars". Instead make use of keyboard shortcut. List of shortcut can be seen in the menu "Help".
