Sony HDR-TG1, Tiny AVCHD Minicam

Now more and more HD recorder is increasingly popular as supporting entertainment device such as LCD HD TV or Blu-ray player. Disk-based HD recorder is also becoming a lot on the market before other models followed by a video store in the memory card or what we might call a minicam.

Manufacturer Sony's popular with his handycam minicam series also presents the HDR-TG1 AVCHD format (video compression format that includes the best right now). Handycam model is different from most because it is made like a combination of David and Goliath. What does that mean?

HDR-TG1 known as camcorders Sony AVCHD format HD with the world's smallest dimension 6.3 x3, 2x11, 9 cm and weighs less than 300 grams. This product actually more accurately described as minicam replace hard disk used for storage with a card Memory Stick PRO Duo. But used as a storage memory card does not make the video quality go down because Sony still implement AVCHD compression with a maximum of 16Mbps bitrate.

TG1 also implemented a ClearVid CMOS sensor Exmor technology is also applied to several rows of hard drive-based camcorders. Technologically, this is equivalent to minicam recorder hard drive-based AVCHD Sony others. Limitations only on the capacity simpannya space.

In addition to relying on "intelligence" internal, TG1 special makeup so as not to be easily damaged / defects caused by physical impact. For that order in TG1 using titanium materials are very strong and reinforced by the outer layer so that the entire physical hard minicam be very tough and not easily soiled. Sony also makes access TG1 very practical because it only puts a little navigation button to perform the image recording / video. Oh access TG1 also very exciting because it provides a setting in the Indonesian language usage.

In a video recording, TG1 offers several resolution options ranging from standard definition (SD) resolution up to 1440x1080i high-definition (HD) 1920x1080i resolution, each of which is offered in a quality 3-16Mbps bitrate. To obtain maximum results, TG1 complement system with Face Detection feature for face recognition, Carl Zeiss lens with 10x optical zoom, Super SteadyShot OIS for more stable images, and support to raise xvColour more realistic color and contrast. For this last feature TG1 should be connected with a compatible device such as Bravia LCD TV with xvColour.

While also capable of shooting up to a resolution of 4 megapixels, TG1 still more ideal for recording video. Several shots still images lack the natural results. As for the video quality we were quite satisfied even though the quality of the resulting HD is still a interlace (i). TG1 was also not a several video features such as the hard drive-based camcorders that creativity is somewhat limited video here. But for conventional use is very adequate, especially for those who seek a sophisticated HD recorders and resilient.

PLUS: compact design, luxury, and strong structure; easy to use; connections much; features useful record.
